How to choose the right outdoor flagpole and flag for your application

A few pointers to help you in choosing the right flagpole and flag for your application:
- As a general rule, flag length should be 1/4 to 1/3 height of pole.
- When more than one flag is to be flown on a single pole, choose a larger pole.
- Top flag should be no larger than is recommended in chart.
- The second flag should be one size smaller than top flag.
- The proper capacity of a pole must be appropriate to your geographic region taking into consideration your regions' wind velocity:
Suggested Flag Size in Relation to Flagpole Height:

| 25' | 4' x 6' |
| 30' | 5' x 8' |
| 35' | 6' x 10' |
| 40' | 8' x 12' |
| 50' | 10' x 15' |
| 60' to 70' | 12' x 18' |
| 80' | 15' x 25' |
| 90' | 25' x 40' |
| 90' | 25' x 40' |
| 100' | 30' x 50' |
| 110' to 150' | 30' x 60' |
| 160' to 180' | 40' x 80' |
| 200' | 60' x 100' |
Important:
Flagpoles selected should be capable of supporting the largest flag intended to be flown in the highest wind speed to which it will be subjected
