How long should an outdoor flag last?
Our flags are of the highest American Made quality materials and workmanship that meet or exceed every quality standard including those of the U.S. Federal Government.
The life expectancy of a flag is dependent on several factors some of which are:
- The material a flag is made of
- Weather conditions at installation site
- Length of exposure per day to the elements (Sun, Wind, Water, Pollution..)
- Care and maintenance
All these factors will effect the life expectancy of your outdoor flag and make it impossible to predict accurately for every situation. As a general rule, a high quality Nylon or 2-ply polyester flag should last about 6 months outdoors if displayed from sunup to sundown daily. Depending on your circumstance and conditions, you may get considerably shorter or longer life from your flag.
